Is everything handmade?
Yes! Each TaleBound plushie is handmade in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I trace, cut, sew, stuff, fluff, and brush each plush myself, giving every piece its own little details and personality.

Are your plushies toys?
TaleBound plushies are handmade art pieces and soft companions intended for collectors, display, and gentle handling. They are not intended for young children or rough play. Please check each listing for any specific age, safety, or material notes.

How do I care for my plushie?
Spot clean only with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Avoid soaking, scrubbing, machine washing, or tumble drying. Air dry and keep out of direct sunlight.
Handle with care, especially around limbs, embroidery, accessories, or keychain hardware.
Gentle hugs are encouraged. Cuddles improve mood and fluffiness.

Do you take commissions / make custom plushies?
Not at this time. I currently work from pre-made plush patterns that allow finished pieces to be sold.

Can I request modifications to an existing keychain plushie?
For keychain plushies only, yes! Small changes can be made, such as removing the keychain hardware or choosing different fabric colors.

When will sold-out plushies come back?
Restocks are not guaranteed, since each plushie is handmade in small batches and depends on available fabric, patterns, and time.
For plushies previously made, you’re welcome to send a message on Etsy to ask about a possible restock or remake. I can’t guarantee availability, but I’m happy to let you know what may be possible. You can also check the Queue section for current and future projects, or follow Instagram for progress updates.

Do you have sales?
I usually run one sale a year for Black Friday.
Some items may also have automatic bundle discounts through Etsy, and customers may receive a coupon offer after a purchase for a future order.
I’m also hoping to set up occasional giveaways through Instagram in the future.

Why does handmade plush pricing vary?
Each TaleBound plush is made one at a time, with its own materials, details, and construction time. Pricing reflects the care, craftsmanship, and small-batch nature of handmade plush art.
Because each design is different, prices may vary based on size, fabric, embroidery, pattern complexity, accessories, finishing time, packaging, and other small-business costs.

Where do you get your supplies?
I use soft minky fabric, quality thread, stuffing, pellets, ribbons, and other plush-making supplies from trusted craft and sewing suppliers.
Some of my commonly used suppliers include Big Z Fabric, Marathon Thread USA, and Michaels.
