Is everything handmade?
Yes! Every TaleBound plushie is handmade by me in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, either one at a time or in small batches. I personally cut, sew, assemble, stuff, and carefully finish each piece by hand. Small variations are a natural part of handmade work, but every plushie is carefully checked before it leaves my workspace.

Are TaleBound plushies toys?
TaleBound plushies are handmade collectible art pieces and soft companions intended for ages 14 and up. They’re designed for display, collecting, and gentle handling rather than rough play or use as children’s toys.
Please check the individual listing and hang tag for any design-specific material or safety notes.

How do I care for my plushie?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow your plushie to air dry completely. Avoid soaking, scrubbing, machine washing, or tumble drying, and keep your plushie out of prolonged direct sunlight.
Handle with a little extra care around embroidery, accessories, wire-supported areas, or keychain hardware.
Gentle hugs are encouraged. Cuddles improve mood and fluffiness.

Do you take commissions or make custom plushies?
Not at this time. I currently focus on the designs and colorways available through my shop, though the TaleBound lineup will continue to grow and change over time.

Can I request changes to a keychain or plushie?
I’m not currently able to modify full-size plushies, but small changes to existing keychain designs may sometimes be possible, such as removing the hardware or choosing a different fabric color.

When will a sold-out plushie come back?
Restocks depend on available materials and the time needed to make each design, so I can’t guarantee when or whether a particular plushie will return.

Do you have sales or discounts?
I usually hold a Black Friday sale once a year. Occasional discounts or special offers may also be available through Etsy.

How are TaleBound plushies priced?
Each TaleBound plushie is priced based on the materials, complexity, and hands-on time involved in making that particular design. Some may include specialty fabrics, embroidery, weighted elements, wire-supported pieces, detailed hand stitching, or more involved construction and finishing.
Because every plushie is made individually or in a very small batch rather than through large-scale manufacturing, the price reflects both the materials and the work that goes into creating it. My goal is to price my work fairly while maintaining the level of quality and attention to detail I want every TaleBound plushie to have.

How do you make your plushies?
Every plushie starts with a sewing pattern and a pile of fabric! From there, I cut the pieces, add embroidery or other details, sew everything together, stuff and shape the plushie, and finish it by hand.
Some designs involve extra details such as specialty fabrics, weighted poly pellets, wire-supported pieces, or longer fur. Once everything is assembled, each plushie gets a final round of finishing and fluffing before it’s ready for its new home.
